Happy birthday to both me & my new blog! It is unbelievable that I am actually 22 years old and now is the time for me to start taking blogging seriously!
A little about me first. My name is Adam Jones and I am currently working as an apprentice library assistant at Formby Library. I am also a wannabe writer whose biggest dream is publishing a novel of my own. I have been writing sporadically for a brilliant music website called GIGsoup and I wanted to transfer what I’ve learnt from my work there onto my own blog. I will focus predominantly on writing about books and authors, although I also hope to branch out into other areas as well, like music, video games, TV and film. I am hoping to post on here at least once a week, if not more frequently. Whether many people read this is not that important – I am mainly hoping that this blog can become an outlet that encourages me to write more frequently and develop my craft. Writing is something that I have been putting off for too long and I really need to start taking it seriously and start enjoying the process again, rather than being frightened or worried about what people might think. You can only learn by doing after all!
So, I shall leave it there for the moment – just a quick post to get the ball rolling! I will hopefully post my first proper entry on Friday or Saturday. Until then, I’m going to enjoy the rest of my day off and just have a lovely chilled day with my family!
